St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

This Thanksgiving the Pantry is thankful for a generous food donation from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Three Bridges. 350 bags of groceries were delivered to the Pantry in time for distribution as part of the holiday meal package given to our client families. Parishioners from the church helped Pantry volunteers sort and shelve this massive quantity of food collected before Mass at the church. Thank you to all who participated.

Knitters Unite!

This holiday season will be very special for Pantry families. Knitters Unite!, a group at the Hunterdon County Library, has donated three cartons of hand-knitted hats, scarves and other comfy items to be given to our clients. Perfect for the winter, this knitware was made by group members and volunteers and is sized for adults and children.

Thank you Knitters Unite! for your generous contribution.

Realtors Food Drive

The Flemington Area Food Pantry is indebted to the Hunterdon/Somerset Association of Realtors for its extremely successful food drive Saturday, October 8, 2016. The Pantry received 1,002 bags for a total of 5,390 lbs. of groceries in this year’s annual event. The drive also collected $1,740 in cash donations for the Pantry.

The chairperson for the drive in Hunterdon County was Laura Millen of Coldwell Banker.
Volunteers from the Association collected donations of non-perishable food items and personal care products from shoppers at ShopRite of Flemington and Clinton and the Bishops Market, Kings Market and WalMart in Whitehouse.

Association volunteers also delivered the donated items to the Pantry where a group of teachers and staff from Whiton Elementary School in Branchburg helped Pantry volunteers with sorting and shelving.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry thanks all of those who helped make this event a success, certainly including the generous folks who donated groceries and cash to the Pantry.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry provides supplemental groceries at no cost to about 1,300 needy Hunterdon County Families.
