New Executive Director at Pantry

The Board of Directors of the Flemington Area Food Pantry has appointed Jeannine Gorman to serve as the Pantry’s Executive Director. Gorman brings to the Pantry a wealth of experience in the non-profit arena including marketing, information systems, and finance.

As Executive Director, Gorman is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pantry such as client services, community outreach, volunteer management, and food acquisition.

Her previous experience includes Legislative Aide to Assemblyman Erik Peterson, Executive Director of the Hunterdon County Bar Association, and several management positions with Johnson & Johnson.

Gorman said:  ”The mission of the Flemington Area Food Pantry is to ‘Feed the Hungry With Respect & Compassion’ and I am amazed by the dedication and commitment of the close to 200 volunteers to accomplish just that.  Our clients are welcomed with open arms.”

Gorman succeeds Gary White as the Pantry’s Executive Director. White remains committed to the Pantry and will assume the position of Director of Food Distribution.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry provides, at no cost, supplemental grocery items to approximately 1,300 qualified low income Hunterdon County families. Clients come to the Pantry twice each month to receive items such as fruits & vegetables, bread & rolls, milk, eggs, meat, canned goods, and personal care products. All of the items given to Pantry clients are donated to the Pantry or purchased with monetary donations and distributed by Pantry volunteers.
