Our Programs
More than a Food Pantry
As needs in our community grow and evolve, we offer a range of services beyond traditional food distribution. Our focus remains on practical, creative solutions within the realm of food access and wellness. That includes personal products, produce with recipes and the programs below demonstrate the needs of our community and the breadth of our services.

Nutrition & Health Program
As a client-choice pantry, we follow the USDA MyPlate model to offer a varied and nutritious selection. Neighbors choose from proteins, fresh produce, perishables, personal care items (not covered by NJ SNAP), and pantry staples. Most families visit twice a month and receive food for up to five days per visit.

We serve neighbors who are homebound, elderly, or without transportation. Our delivery network includes two low-income senior housing communities, as well as individual deliveries through our Food2You program, developed with Hunterdon Health.
One of our most joyful programs! Parents receive a festive birthday bag for children ages 3–12, including toys, cake mix, and party supplies. Newborns also receive a baby backpack of essentials. In 2024, we distributed 451 of these bags.
When school meals are unavailable during the summer, we provide families with supplemental food bags, including extra protein to support growing kids.
In response to a dramatic increase in senior visits, we created two initiatives: monthly senior-only shopping hours with lunch where seniors shop inside the Pantry with assistance from volunteers, and expanded delivery services to two low-income senior housing developments—doubling as wellness checks.
Community Garden
Our on-site garden, lovingly tended by volunteers, yielded over 500 pounds of fresh produce and herbs in 2024—directly supporting our nutrition goals.

For those living in hotels, cars, or outdoors—often without transportation—we provide personal products and food tailored to their limited cooking and refrigeration options. This may include can openers, and small appliances such as mini-fridges and microwaves. We also offer delivery to ensure access.
ComMITT Meal Kit
This creative meal kit includes everything needed—ingredients, spices, recipes, and video instructions—to prepare a healthy, home-cooked meal, promoting family time around the table.

We actively partner with local agencies to connect our neighbors to a broader range of support services, ensuring comprehensive care without duplicating efforts.
There are seven small, easily accessible food pantries throughout the Flemington area stocked with shelf-stable items. They are restocked daily and available to anyone in need.
